Jawa Motorcycles, one of the most iconic Indian motorcycle manufacturers, a brand with over 90 years of legacy. Classic Legends have resurrected the Jawa name in India and have come out with two bikes - Classic Jawa and Jawa Forty two on November 2018.

In 5 months, we got Jawa website to rank #1 on Google for 122 keywords.

The Jawa website appeared on the first page of 409 keywords.

The entire inventory for a year in one month.

Challenge

  • The goal was to revamp the website from scratch to showcase the comeback of the historic brand.

  • The website needed booking feature for their upcoming motorcycle and also carrying the nostalgic retro rugged visuals.

As the designer for Jawa Motorcycle, I was responsible for managing and creating the website and social media designs, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing brand presence online. Additionally, I attended various Jawa Motorcycle events, capturing high-quality photos and videos that were subsequently shared across our social media platforms to engage and grow our audience. My role encompassed both the digital and experiential aspects of the brand, showcasing my ability to blend design skills with content creation and event coverage.

Brand Style

I handled the website design for both desktop and mobile, ensuring responsive functionality across devices. Guided by Jawa Motorcycle's brand values and business goals, we established a style direction that honors the brand's rich heritage while embracing contemporary design elements. As Jawa is an iconic brand that has been refurbished for the modern era, our objective was to retain its vintage charm while infusing a modernist touch. This led to the creation of a unique style that embodies vintage, modern, grunge, and bold aesthetics, reflecting the rugged nature of the motorcycles. With this vision in mind, we meticulously crafted the website to seamlessly blend these design elements, creating a cohesive and striking online presence.

Photography Guide

One of the key components of a motorcycle website is the photography. We meticulously developed a comprehensive guideline for photographers, detailing the necessary product shot specifications, including angles, compositions, and the required shots for a 360-degree view. These guidelines were clearly defined based on the concept pitched to the client. Following these directives, the client provided us with high-quality photos that perfectly aligned with our vision, ensuring a visually compelling presentation of the motorcycles on the website.

Website

The design process for the Jawa Motorcycle website began with extensive research into the brand's history and identity, followed by the creation of a moodboard blending vintage aesthetics with modern trends. We defined clear style guidelines for photography and visual elements, ensuring consistency and quality. Wireframing outlined the website's structure, leading to a visual design phase that integrated a retro-modern aesthetic with an intuitive booking system. Throughout, we maintained close client communication, refining the design for an optimal user experience across all devices. The final website successfully showcased Jawa's historic comeback with a compelling and cohesive visual presence.

The Jawa Motorcycle booking journey begins with users registering or signing in to the website. They then proceed to the pre-booking stage, where they provide necessary booking information in a well-structured form, which includes details like personal information and choice of motorcycle model, supported by high-quality bike images. Next, users complete the payment process, where all booking details and selected options are clearly summarized, ensuring transparency. Finally, a booking success confirmation is displayed, along with relevant bike images and information, completing the streamlined and visually engaging user experience.


The order cancellation journey allows users to view their booked orders and initiate cancellations seamlessly. Users can select a reason for cancellation, such as postponing their decision or changing their mind, and provide additional comments. This straightforward process ensures transparency and user satisfaction, making it easy to manage and cancel bookings directly from the website.

Social Media

For Jawa Motorcycle's social media, particularly Instagram, I crafted visually engaging posts that highlighted the brand's unique blend of vintage and modern aesthetics, but also going beyond the brand since social media is a vast area. Each post was meticulously designed to showcase the motorcycles' rugged charm, with high-quality images, captivating captions, and cohesive branding elements.
